Today’s podcast episode features Founder and CEO of Career Connectors, Jessica Pierce. Jessica founded Career Connectors in 2009 after the economy had a personal impact on her family. Originally started as a small volunteer group to help write resumes, it quickly turned into a larger organization helping people get back to work. She is now the Executive Director of Career Connectors as well as a known speaker, trainer and career transition expert.

Jessica speaks with Mark on networking, how covid has affected the unemployment rate and unemployment benefits, best practices for finding employment or switching careers and the benefits of volunteering. They also discuss the large influx of people moving to Arizona over the past few years and increasingly now with the “remote workplace”, and how that has affected our job market and the big industries here that need more workers.

Jessica brings a strong background in organizational development techniques, career coaching, DISC behavioral assessment, training and development, pre-employment assessments, outplacement services and hiring. Jessica has spoke at The White House in the Forum on Job Clubs in United States, has been featured in the Arizona Republic, on NBC Channel 12, ABC Channel 15, SimplyHired and multiple other radio and newspaper outlets.
